                      University of Nottingham

Nominated for Royal Television Society Best Corporate/Non Broadcast Film 2007
(Midlands Centre Awards)

Commissioned by The University of Nottingham, ‘Nano in Nottingham’ is a series of six larger than life films about the small science of nanotechnology. These films were first screened at the ‘Nano in Nottingham. small science. big impact’ event held in Market Square in May 2007.

Sponsored by East Midlands Development Agency (emda), the event was designed to bring nanotechnology to the people of the city, so VPoint.TV were set the challenge of researching and understanding nanotechnology before creating a lively, jargon free film. Over 5,000 people visited the ‘Nano in Nottingham’ three day event and most visitors watched the films.

Victoria Bell, Marketing and Communications Manager at the University of Nottingham was delighted with the result.

“I would like to say a huge thank you for the fantastic films you wrote and produced for the 'nano in nottingham' event.

The films were excellent and very popular during the three days. We were absolutely delighted with the final result.

Your time and effort was very much appreciated, and proved extremely valuable in ensuring a very successful event.

We had over 5,000 visitors during the three days, which was a huge turn out. We also received very positive feedback from the general public”.
