Rushcliffe Borough Council

Project: Rushcliffe Community Project Video

A video inspired by a fruit abundance scheme in Sheffield. Keyworth in Rushcliffe decided to map, collect and use as much fruit as possible from their own village. Tons of fruit is grown and produced in village residents gardens, but it is usually left to rot on the ground. This video aims to raise awareness of waste and sustainability, and embodies the village community spirit.

“So many of us have fruit trees in our gardens which are not harvested and yet we are happy to go to the supermarket and buy fruit which has been sprayed with pesticides, wrapped in plastic, and shipped halfway around the world.”
